The Small Business Association helps
maintain and strengthen the nation's economy
by aiding, counseling, assisting, and protecting the interests of small
businesses, and by helping families and businesses recover from national
disasters. This is accomplished through their guiding principles of creativity,
advocacy,
results, empowerment, and success.
The Virginia Small Business Development Centers are a statewide network
of 28 local Small Business Development Centers providing professional business
counseling, training and information resources to help grow and strengthen
small businesses in Virginia.

J.
Sargeant Reynolds Community College (JSRCC) and John Tyler Community College
(JTCC) are committed to providing the best workforce development
services to the region in an effort to train the workforce of today and tomorrow.
In order to better accomplish this task, both colleges have joined forces
to create a new workforce development entity, the Community College
Workforce Alliance (CCWA). The Community College Workforce Alliance is a cooperative
partnership dedicated to supporting economic development and providing world-class
workforce training and services to both the public and private sectors.

Crater Procurement Assistance Center (CPAC) assists Small, Disadvantaged,
Women Owned, Minority, and Veteran Owned businesses that want to increase
their opportunities in the Federal, State, and Local Government marketplace.
In addition, they assist Prime Contractors to source qualified small businesses
to act as subcontractors for government contracts.

Madison University serves as the regional host for Central Virginia’s
Small Business Development Centers.

principle and in practice the National Association of Women Business
Owners (NAWBO) values and seeks a diverse and inclusive membership. NAWBO's goal
is to represent fully the diverse make-up of the women business owner community
through increased representation within ethnic and minority communities and
to expand access to leadership opportunities.

Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), headquartered in Washington,
